Sustainability continues to shape consumer choices in Australia’s beauty and personal care sector, with recent research from Monash Business School revealing that nearly half of Australian shoppers now consider sustainability when making purchasing decisions. The study also found that 42% of consumers are willing to pay more for environmentally responsible products—driving demand for brands to step up.
Three homegrown beauty brands—Myśaa, Mud Organics and Ere Perez—are doing just that, showcasing their eco-conscious credentials at this year’s Naturally Good Expo, taking place 26–27 May at ICC Sydney.
Skincare brand Myśaa champions transparency and sustainability through ethical sourcing, small-batch manufacturing, recycled packaging and FSC-certified materials. The brand’s low-waste approach reflects a broader commitment to responsible beauty.
Mud Organics is gaining recognition for its clean formulations and environmentally sound packaging, which is recyclable and compostable. With its “good for you, good for the planet” philosophy, MUD is helping drive change from the shelf up.
A leader in clean beauty, Ere Perez continues to prioritise sustainability across all areas of its business. The brand has embraced refillable and biodegradable packaging, and is reducing its carbon footprint by sourcing locally where possible.
These innovators are part of a growing shift in the Australian beauty market—one where performance and sustainability go hand-in-hand.
