“Beauty comes from the reflection of light,” Dr Naomi McCullum told media at her recent skincare launch event.

“Whether  we are doing injectables, laser or using skincare, that’s the basis of it all.”

It’s this philosophy that has seen ‘Dr Naomi’ as she is known to her 326,000 followers on Instagram,  launch her first skincare range at her clinic, The Manse, in Paddington.

Although she’s known for her hilarious memes on social media, what Dr McCullum doesn’t  share enough is she is a Board Member and the PR officer of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia (CPCA) and was previously a Fellow and Board Member of the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine (ACAM), and a member of the Cosmetic Physicians Society Australia (CPSA).

An industry first-of-its-kind, Dr Naomi Skin has brightening at the core of the range across all its 18 products.

Almost all the products in the range contain a Proprietary Brightening Cocktail, featuring 13 innovative skin brighteners –  plus cutting edge ‘peptide drone technology’.

But brightening isn’t its only objective, it tackles other skin  concerns too, with three skin-transformative, mix-and-match collections Everyskin, Fillerista and Rejuvenati.

Dr Naomi said her desire to formulate began more than 20 years ago, after completing her medicine degree and internship residency.

“I then got my first cosmetic job at the hottest cosmetic clinic at the time,” she said.  “We did a lot of laser as there was not a lot of injectables around then. Every day we were writing scripts for a brightening formulation called  Kligman formula (a prescription  named after its inventor, dermatologist Dr Albert Kligman, originally formulated in 1975 that is made from hydroquinone base, retinoic acid and corticosteroid) and what I noticed was the patients came with better skin, and happy.”

Dr Naomi said therefore she had created a predominantly brightening skincare range.

“I wanted to make skincare with brightening as the basis of all the products – not just one or two  products in the range,” she said.

Dr Naomi Skin has everything we’ve come to expect from next gen skincare – it’s made in Australia, vegan and cruelty free, and: highly efficacious, cosmeceutical-grade, uses innovative technology, clean ingredients and leading advanced actives, combined with the latest delivery systems for enhanced penetration and visible results.

Olivier Duvillard, formerly ANZ General Manager at Jurlique, takes on the role of CEO at Dr Naomi Skin.
