Ghd has unveiled its latest innovation in professional styling: the Chronos Curve curling range, combining next-gen heat technology with personalised digital tools to deliver faster, high-definition results—without compromising hair health.
To celebrate the launch, ghd hosted an exclusive media and industry event in Sydney, where guests experienced the full range of curling tools and explored the brand’s new AI-powered Curl Finder Quiz.
The Chronos Curve collection includes four professional tools, each retailing at $320:
- Max Wand – for loose, cascading waves
- Grand Tong – for voluminous, bouncy curls
- Classic Tong – for polished, defined waves
- Conical Wand – for natural, beach-inspired curls
Powered by ghd’s advanced curl-responsive technology, each tool maintains an optimal temperature of 185°C across the barrel, helping create curls up to three times faster with reduced frizz and up to 50% more shine, according to the brand.
Guests were guided through the personalised styling experience by ghd ANZ educator James Kavanagh and Royals Hair salon owner Mary Alamine, who showcased how each tool could deliver customised looks based on hair type and curl preference.
A key highlight was the launch of ghd’s new Curl Finder Quiz, now live on ghdhair.com. The interactive digital tool uses AI to help users find their perfect curl from 240 generated looks, offering tailored tool recommendations based on hair length, texture and desired style.
“While AI helps personalise the experience, it will never replace real hair,” said Alamine. “Authenticity is central to the ghd brand, which continues to champion real models, real hair, and real stylists across every campaign.”
All AI-generated imagery is clearly labelled and used exclusively within the quiz. Outside of the tool, all brand visuals feature real hair styled by ghd’s education team—a key part of maintaining the brand’s commitment to professional artistry.
The launch marks another milestone in ghd’s evolution as a beauty-tech leader, fusing innovation with integrity to shape the future of styling.
