Gary Bigeni presented his Resort ’26 collection at AFC Australian Fashion Week presented by Shark Beauty delivering a bold tribute to movement, self-expression and dressing for oneself. The runway was brought to life not only through the designer’s vibrant silhouettes but also with raw, individualised hair and makeup looks that embodied the spirit of the show.

Backstage, Nimbus Co provided an ice bath igloo experience with face and foot immersions for the models, designed to reduce puffiness and inflammation while promoting circulation and glow. Cloud Form, the brand’s hydration supplement, was also offered to help maintain energy and skin vitality.

Hair direction by Jo Smith of Toni & Guy focused on celebrating natural texture and personal style. Each look was tailored to the individual model, with no attempt at uniformity. Using the Label.M range, including Volume Foam, Texturising Volume Spray, Shine Mist and Ultimate Hairspray, the team created effortlessly undone styles that allowed each model’s natural beauty to take centre stage.

Makeup director Peter Beard, representing Make Up For Ever, took a similar approach to skin, skipping foundation entirely in favour of selective concealing using the HD Skin Face Essentials Palette. The Flash Palette was used to customise lip and cheek tones, creating fresh, expressive looks that reflected the individuality at the core of Bigeni’s collection.

The show reinforced Bigeni’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, self-expression and body confidence, with every beauty choice working to highlight—not hide—the individuality of the wearer.
