Luxury skincare brand La Mer is teaming up with acclaimed Australian chef Neil Perry AM to launch its first-ever La Mer Crèmery—a retro-inspired ice cream pop-up set to open in Double Bay’s Guilfoyle Park for two days only, this Friday 4 and Saturday 5 April.
The temporary installation will offer visitors samples of La Mer’s well-known Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream, alongside a custom ice cream created by Perry, who drew inspiration from the product’s formulation. The buttermilk-based dessert references the cream’s texture and includes optional garnishes of kelp and sesame, ingredients linked to La Mer’s signature Miracle Broth.
Perry, who leads several venues in the Margaret dining precinct, including Margaret, Song Bird, Bobbie’s and Baker Bleu, has been a longtime user of the brand. “For over 20 years, Crème de la Mer has been an essential part of my daily routine, restoring and rejuvenating my skin after long days in the restaurants,” he said. “When the team invited me to craft an ice cream for the La Mer Crèmery, I knew exactly what I wanted to create.”
Mariko Rex, Brand General Manager of La Mer Australia and New Zealand, said the collaboration offered a way to engage the public in a new format. “Neil has been a valued friend of the brand for many years, so it was fitting for him to bring La Mer to life via his culinary expertise,” she said.

In addition to the park activation, the ice cream will be added to the dessert menus at Margaret and Song Bird from 9–15 April.
The La Mer Crèmery forms part of the brand’s broader engagement strategy in the Australian market, aimed at encouraging trial and raising awareness through experiential formats. La Mer is one of Estée Lauder’s leading premium skincare brands.
