The cult French pharmacy skincare brand La Roche Posay hosted a free, interactive, live-streamed webinar discussion for our tireless healthcare workers about the importance of maintaining mental health during this challenging time.

Hosted by media personality Deborah Hutton, the solidarity project was held as an expression of gratitude, by parent company L’Oréal, to all of the valued frontline healthcare workers, for their courage and dedication to ensuring ongoing health and safety amongst the wider community.

The informative presentation featured Dr Tim Sharp (aka Dr Happy), founder of The Happiness Institute, who spoke about  building resilience to maintain happiness throughout difficult times.

Beyond Blue volunteer speaker and cardiologist, Dr Geoff Toogood, also spoke on mental wellbeing and the support services available during the pandemic and beyond.

The informative discussion attracted a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including frontline emergency workers, nurses, dermatologists, pharmacists, and aged care personnel.

Yann Kerherve, general manager, L’Oréal Australia Active Cosmetics Division, said the dedicated frontline professionals were working tirelessly, and often in high-risk scenarios, to keep all Australians safe during this challenging period.

“La Roche Posay has always partnered with dermatologists and healthcare professionals to improve the ‘quality of life’ of their patients,” he said.

“As their journey continues, we must acknowledge their valued contribution, and continue to support them in every way possible.”

The brand will be distributing more than 7000 Care Packs housing a curated selection of La Roche Posay products, and more than 20,000 units of an exclusively produced Purifying Hand Gel Sanitiser, to healthcare workers across the nation.

Health care professionals who weren’t able to join the discussion can view the webinar here.
