Fashion brands are increasingly entering the beauty sector to offer a complete lifestyle experience.
High-end fashion label Jacquemus, founded by French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, is the latest to announce a collaboration with the world’s biggest beauty brand.
Jacquemus has unveiled an exclusive, long-term beauty partnership with L’Oréal Groupe, which has taken a minority investment in the Paris-based fashion house. This collaboration marks a significant expansion for Jacquemus, bringing its creative vision into the beauty sector with the support of L’Oréal Luxe.
Since its inception in 2009, Jacquemus has gained recognition for its distinctive storytelling, influenced by Simon Porte Jacquemus’ South of France heritage and artistic inspirations. Known for immersive runway productions in unconventional locations, the brand has built a strong identity that blends digital-first innovation with physical retail expansion. This partnership will extend Jacquemus into the beauty space, leveraging its established aesthetic and engaged community.
Cyril Chapuy, president of L’Oréal Luxe, described the partnership as an opportunity to develop a unique beauty offering that aligns with Jacquemus’ brand identity.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jacquemus and unleash together its outstanding luxury beauty potential,” he said. “With its singular brand positioning, fueled by sensational creativity and social first playfulness, Jacquemus will perfectly complement L’Oréal Luxe’s portfolio of iconic brands and reinforce our worldwide leadership.”
Simon Porte Jacquemus emphasised that fragrance and beauty had always been part of his vision for the brand and expressed enthusiasm about shaping this next chapter with L’Oréal.
“Fifteen years ago, I began dreaming of and creating Jacquemus, with perfume and beauty always part of my vision for the brand. Today, I am proud to continue shaping this dream with the leading beauty group, L’Oréal. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us.”
With a presence across multiple distribution channels—including e-commerce, department stores, pharmacies, and branded retail locations—L’Oréal continues to expand its portfolio through strategic collaborations.
Jacquemus, known for its contemporary approach to fashion, has expanded globally with flagship stores in Paris, Dubai, Seoul, New York, and London. The brand’s move into beauty marks a natural evolution, building on its strong digital presence and growing retail footprint.
