Fans of the hand made cosmetics company Lush, known on social media as ‘Lushies’ know that the Snow Fairy range being stocked on shelf means one thing… the countdown to Christmas has begun.

This year, the Lush Christmas range was created with the idea of togetherness in mind after such long periods apart from loved ones due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

All of the limited edition products were designed with the intention of providing joy for all who receive them.

The vegan, handmade and ethically sourced Lush Christmas 2021 collection was unveiled via Zoom.

Hosted by Brand Coordinator Juan Dueñas, it featured Lush Co-Founder Rowena Bird, Gifts Creative Direction and Category Lead Suzie Hackney and Product Inventor Alessandro Commisso who all spoke about the inspiration behind some of this year’s brand new limited edition products and about Lush’s ethical approach to gifting.

“This is my 26th Christmas and the feeling that we wanted to create back then is the same as it is today,” Rowena said.

“When a customer walks in, we want to create theatre, and fun and it’s sort  of a little escape – it gives you the Christmas spirit. Hopefully the customer can find just what they are looking for and go out with a smile on their face.”

Rowena said the impact of the pandemic and economic impacts made this year even more special.

“This year, given everything that’s been going on with the pandemic, and Brexit for us over here, we have chosen the theme of Joy. It’s been tough everywhere, most people have found it hard one way or another. Last year we couldn’t even get together as families for Christmas, this year we are on track to do so.”

Rowena co-founded the beauty brand in 1995 with Mark and Mo Constantine, Helen Ambrosen, Liz Bennett and Paul Greaves in the UK.

Today, Lush has 951 stores globally in 49 countries with most locations located in the US, as well as production facilities located in the United Kingdom, Canada, Croatia, Germany, and Australia.
