In this exclusive Q&A, Rose shares the journey behind Calmerceuticals, the science that sets it apart, and how she plans to grow the brand both locally and globally.

Your journey with Calmerceuticals began from frustration with collagen supplements making bold claims without evidence. What sparked your passion, and what kept you going?

I was my own customer first. I was tired of the BS in the supplement industry—so many brands were pushing collagen products with inflated claims, zero clinical backbone or results, and some pretty scary ingredients. I couldn’t find a single product I genuinely trusted or felt comfortable taking. That frustration lit a fire in me. I knew women deserved better. I wanted something proven, effective, transparent, and backed by science—not just good marketing masking cheap Chinese ingredients and low-grade fillers. That desire to solve a problem I personally experienced is what drove me. It wasn’t about launching another brand; it was about setting a new standard—something I wanted to take myself, and ultimately, I knew others would too.

You collaborated closely with leading Australian scientists for nearly a decade to deeply understand the body’s collagen needs at a cellular level. Tell us about your overarching findings.

What we found through years of pretty arduous research was that collagen decline isn’t just a surface issue—it starts at a cellular level and accelerates dramatically in our late 20s and beyond. Most collagen products completely miss the mark by focusing only on quantity—not bioavailability, co-factors, collagen quality, or ingredient synergy. Our work revealed that to truly trigger the body’s own collagen synthesis, you need the right peptides, in clinical doses, supported by nutrients that activate the fibroblasts. It’s not just about drinking collagen—it’s about delivering it in a form the body recognises, absorbs, and uses. As a result, we’re incredibly proud to have achieved a 90–95% absorption rate.

Through extensive qualitative and quantitative research, you developed and rigorously tested a premium collagen formula—how does this compare to the market leaders at that time?

Frankly, it’s in a different league altogether. Most “market leaders” at the time were selling underdosed powders or drinks bulked with sugar, artificial flavours, or trendy buzzwords. We took a clinical approach. Our formula uses Verisol Enhanced Marine Collagen peptides at the exact dosage shown in peer-reviewed trials to improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, and boost nail strength. It’s incredible that the Calmerceuticals brand sells one product every minute! How are you able to keep up with this overwhelming demand?

It’s a blessing and a beast! We’ve had to scale fast without compromising on quality or integrity. That’s meant building strong relationships with our Australian manufacturing partners, investing in better logistics, and forecasting like a hawk. More than anything, we’ve built an extremely loyal customer base. We currently have a 92% customer retention rate, which is incredible. When people feel the difference, they stick with it. That consistent demand keeps us motivated. It’s been a wild ride keeping up—at one point we sold out twice, with six months of stock gone in just two weeks. It’s been a challenge—but a good one.

Tell us about your plans to expand Calmerceuticals into the US market.

The US is our next major leap. We’ve been carefully laying the groundwork—meeting FDA compliance, building distribution partnerships, and tailoring our messaging to resonate with U.S. wellness consumers. There’s a huge appetite for clean, results-backed ingestibles in the States, and we believe our clinical approach will cut through the noise. The U.S. launch will be bold, premium, and impossible to ignore. Right now, our focus is on scaling at the right pace—slow and strategic—to ensure we have the strongest foundation for long-term growth.

How will you continue to grow the Calmerceuticals Australian presence through wholesale partnerships with salons and Amazon?

We’re extremely selective with our wholesale partners—salons, clinics, and spas that share our results-first philosophy. We don’t want to be everywhere; we want to be in the right places. Amazon gives us the ability to scale while still offering customers a premium delivery and service experience. Our goal is to make Calmerceuticals accessible, without ever compromising the brand’s high-touch, clinical feel and performance.

I think people are like me—tired of empty promises. Tired of wasting their hard-earned money on products that do nothing. They’re smart, discerning, and results-driven. Calmerceuticals isn’t about hype—it’s about delivering real, effective results. We don’t try to be everything to everyone. We’re obsessed with quality, clinical integrity, and real transformation. Our customers feel seen and supported. They’re not just buying collagen—they’re embracing a ritual that improves how they look and feel. Seeing emails from our “Calmers” (what we call our customers) and reading their reviews is one of my favourite parts of the day. It reminds me why I started—and how powerful our impact can be.

What advice would you give someone who is passionate about an idea and wants to bring their vision to life?


Start with truth. Solve a problem you genuinely care about—one you’d obsess over even if no one was watching. Then back yourself with data, with grit, and with people who know more than you do. The journey isn’t easy, especially as a founder. But the reward of seeing something you believed in become real, and change lives? Nothing compares. Keep going. Be resilient. Be bold.
