Australian brands such as Frank Body have carved out an international reputation for coffee body scrubs. Now, it’s the turn of chocolate for fans of exfoliating body treatments that sound good enough to eat.

Sally Paech, a 6th generation Kangaroo islander, founded OrganiQ Kangaroo Island in 2015. A clean and organic brand, its signature products such as Native Honey Body Scrub and Pure Rose Hydrating Mist incorporate locally sourced ingredients from Australia’s third-largest island.

Even though the brand’s products grabbed the attention of fashion designers and wellness gurus, it is still mainly sold in South Australia through locations such as Adelaide Central Markets. OrganiQ Kangaroo Island also sells online through a dedicated website – www.organiqaustralia.com.au – and the landmark Mickey Fine Pharmacy in Beverly Hills in the US, a magnet for LA celebrities.

The brand is hitting the big time. OrganiQ Kangaroo Island has teamed with Hershey, the iconic US chocolate company and fifth largest chocolate manufacturer in the world, to introduce OrganiQ Hershey’s Cacao Body Scrub, which is based on the classic Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar.

The 100 per cent natural, vegan scrub debuted at Cosmoprof North America, the leading B2B beauty trade show in the Americas, in July to widespread interest. Featuring a distinct chocolate scent, the scrub contains raw cacao, pure coconut and raw sugar. The packaging is designed and produced in Australia using 100% kerbside recyclable materials.

OrganiQ Hershey’s Cacao Body Scrub will launch in the US during the Northern Autumn. I wanted to create a special product that enhances both physical and emotional well-being, adds Paech.

“OrganiQ Hershey’s Cacao Scrub provides an indulgent experience that not only nourishes your skin with food grade ingredients but lifts your spirits with the delicious scent of Hershey’s chocolate.”
