As the Australian wellness and beauty retail landscape rapidly evolves, Retail Beauty returns to Naturally Good Expo 2025 to host a high-impact panel exploring a question at the heart of brand building today: Are you creating a brand around yourself — or designing one for long-term retail success?
The session, titled Who’s Your Brand For — You or the Shelf? Why the Difference Matters, will take place on Tuesday, 27 May from 10:30am to 11:15am at ICC Sydney.
Moderated by Retail Beauty publisher Nicci Herrera, the panel will dive into what it takes to navigate the tension between authenticity and scalability, unpacking how brands can thrive both on social and on-shelf.
Panellists include:
- Ann Cattelan, CEO of Go Vita Group Ltd, who brings nearly four decades of experience in the natural health and wellness space. With a background in biochemistry and nutritional medicine, she leads Australia’s largest health food retail co-operative and serves on the board of Complementary Medicines Australia.
- David Willey, a marketing strategist with over 18 years’ experience in digital, brand, and product development, known for helping businesses grow with purpose and clarity.
- Nathan Tindall, Co-Director of PoINT Retail, who has shaped innovative retail environments across the UK and Australia. He’s known for translating brand identity into powerful in-store presence through creative display and retail format design.
- Sophia Mantell, Founder and CEO of Daily Skincare and soon-to-launch Girls Girl Hair, who disrupted traditional pricing in prestige skincare with Daily’s national launch into Priceline. Sophia champions affordable luxury and inclusive beauty built for mass accessibility without compromising on performance.
The session will examine how brands can avoid costly missteps in the development stage, the importance of aligning product innovation with consumer expectations and retail needs, and what it truly means to scale with integrity.
“This is such an important conversation,” says Herrera. “We want to equip brand founders, marketers and retailers with actionable insights on how to build lasting, future-fit brands—ones that are both compelling to consumers and viable at scale.”
The panel is part of Retail Beauty’s ongoing partnership with Naturally Good Expo, which runs from 26–27 May at ICC Sydney and showcases the best in clean beauty, wellness, and conscious consumerism.
