Revlon Professional returned to the runway at Australian Fashion Week 2025 presented by Shark Beauty as the exclusive hair partner for Karla Špetić’s Aeris Resort 2026 collection, presented at Carriageworks.
Led by Hair Director Benjamin Martin, Creative Director of Melbourne’s XVI Collective, the Revlon Professional team crafted a series of soft, weightless hair looks designed to mirror the collection’s themes of lightness, fluidity, and inner alignment.
“Karla’s show is based on an earthy, more organic feeling to her clothing,” said Martin backstage. “She wanted to carry that through to the hair. So we worked with the models’ natural textures—enhancing curls with Revlon Professional UniqOne Curl Cream, and for straighter hair, using Eksperience Densi Pro to thicken and add texture, giving the hair a kind of day-spa treatment.”
Martin explained the creative brief centred on the meaning behind “Aeris”—Latin for air—which informed both the fabric choices and hair direction. “All we’re doing today is creating an enhanced version of each model’s natural texture. The hair needed to move, to catch air and complement the tailoring in Karla’s collection.”
To add softness and volume, some models wore 24-inch human hair extensions from J’adore. For curls, Martin and his team worked with the hair’s natural spiral using UniqOne Curl Cream, while Eksperience Densi Pro was the hero product for straighter hair types.
“Eksperience Densi Pro spray gave us the ability to plump out the hair without adding tackiness. It’s like giving the hair a spa treatment—it adds body, texture, and the feeling of more hair, but remains touchable and airy,” he said.
The key products used backstage included:
- UniqOne Curl Cream
- Eksperience Densi Pro
- RE/START Repair Split End Sealing Drops
- Style Masters Reset Dry Shampoo
- Style Masters Photo Finisher Hairspray
To complement the hair, models’ skin was nourished with Thrive Tallow skincare, formulated with grass-fed tallow and organic olive oil to deliver intense hydration and a healthy, luminous finish.
Makeup Director Susan Lilian followed with Inika Organic, using the clean beauty brand’s products to softly enhance natural features and achieve a fresh, radiant glow that aligned with the collection’s light, effortless aesthetic.
