French skincare and makeup giant Clarins held a Christmas gifting session and company update at the brand’s Sydney headquarters.
Edwina Ruthven, social and digital media manager at Clarins, spoke about the Christmas Gift Sets available for purchase this year, including Skincare Gift Sets, Makeup Gift Sets and Body & Fragrance Gift Sets, before talking about the brand’s sustainable gifting initiatives.
Edwina said Clarins Laboratories were considered pioneers in the fields of plant science and technology and spoke about the brand’s modern-day philosophy: “Making life more beautiful, passing on a more beautiful planet.”
She spoke about the brand’s commitment to embracing both environmental and ethical sustainability initiatives.
Guests were then incited to pick some products to gift to those less fortunate, experiencing a lesson in gift wrapping at the same time.
Clarins was founded in 1954 by medical student Jacques Courtin-Clarins, who died in 2007.
The multinational is now run by the company founder’s son, Christian Courtin-Clarins, who has been the chairman of Clarins since 2000.
In 2020, Clarins achieved its goal of becoming a carbon neutral company.
The company is aiming to transition to 100 per cent recyclable packaging, 100 per cent sustainably sourced ingredients, 80 per cent organic plant extracts and complete plastic neutrality by 2025 while sticking to two promises: “Care for people and care for the planet.”
