Gucci Beauty held an international makeup masterclass to celebrate its latest makeup launches.
All guests who joined the virtual event were shown how to best use the latest products to market – the Gucci Sérum De Beauté Fluide Soyeux (Silk Priming Serum) and Fluide De Beauté Fini Naturel (Natural Finish Fluid Foundation).
Gucci Global Make Up Artist Thomas De Kluyver hosted the class from London, using former fashion blogger and British journalist Susanna Lau is his model.
Susanna, 38, better known as Susie Bubble, or @susiebubble, said she was s self-confessed sponge person, but the “lightness” of the brush made the application much smoother and more buildable.
When showcasing the new foundation, Thomas, a Perth-born make-up artist, said when applying makeup, it was crucial to take time and think of the face as a canvas that was being painted by an artist.
“Rather than brushing it in five second and trying to fix all of your mistakes afterwards, really take your time with it, and build it up slowly,” he said.
Thomas then went on to mix and match Gucci products, using lipstick for blush because of its blendable, matte finish.
He encouraged all users to experiment with makeup in different ways.
Before the event, attendees were sent a personalised Gucci makeup kit so they could ‘brush along’ for the event, including the Silk Priming Serum and three colours of the Natural Finish Fluid Foundation, based on their online colour match.
Ranging from very fair for pink undertones, all the way to a deep dark tone for neutral palettes, the Natural Finish Fluid Foundation Fluide De Beauté Fini Naturel is available in 40 shades, ensuring a colour match for every skin tone and type.
The lightweight, long-wearing formula offers adjustable, buildable coverage results.
Thomas highlighted Gucci Beauty’s continued quest to place individuality and diversity above all.
