EuroItalia was founded in 1978 by Giovanni Sgariboldi, who passionately believed that the power of Made in Italy branding could be transferred to fragrance. The company remains family-owned and is a major player in the global perfume industry, exporting 94 per cent of its products to 140 countries.

EuroItalia is credited with putting Dolce & Gabbana on the map as a designer fragrance brand, prior to the license moving to P&G and then Shiseido. Other storied  Italian designer names in EuroItalia’s current stable include Versace, Moschino, Missoni and Dsquared2.

Atkinsons 1799, the prestige perfume brand sold in David Jones and Harrods, I Coloniali, Reporter and the Naj Oleari cosmetics brand are owned by EuroItalia.

From January 2022, EuroItralia will partner with the Prestige Group to distribute Versace, Moschino, Atkinsons, Missoni and Dquared2 fragrances in Australia and New Zealand.

The two companies have enjoyed a successful 25 year relationship in key Southeast Asian markets, notably Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Prestige Group has been a leading distributor of luxury beauty and fragrance in Southeast Asia since 1983. The company will establish an office in Sydney – Prestige Brands Australia – to oversee the full distribution of the EuroItalia brands, sales and marketing operations and work closely with current distributor, Groupe Clarins, to ensure a smooth transition.

Versace is currently in the top 3 and Moschino has a top 10 ranking for prestige fragrances in Southeast Asia. “We are excited to continue to build our strong relationship with EuroItalia in Australia and New Zealand,” says Vinod Dadlani, president and CEO of Prestige Group. “We believe firmly in the market and are confident in accelerating the position of the brands further.”
