Maria Nila is a Swedish haircare brand that offers a wide range of vegan and cruelty-free hair products.
The brand was founded in 1999 with the aim of creating high-quality hair products that are both sustainable and environmentally friendly.
It can now be found in over 45 countries across three continents, after launching into the Australian market in 2022.
Maria Nila’s products are formulated without sulfates and parabens, and they use natural ingredients such as pomegranate extract, argan oil, and coconut oil to nourish and strengthen the hair.
Maria Nila offers a variety of hair products, including shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, styling products, and colour-care products. Their products are suitable for all hair types and are designed to protect and enhance hair colour, while also promoting healthy hair growth.
In addition to their commitment to sustainability and cruelty-free practices, Maria Nila is also involved in various charitable initiatives.
Over the years, Maria Nila has helped nature and animals in crises by contributing to wildlife conservation organisations and spreading knowledge about sustainable coexistence between humans and animals.
Driving their mission further, the brand established The Friendly Year project, inspiring hairdressers and consumers to support their charity partner The Perfect World Foundation – with a focus this year on supporting sloths in Costa Rica.
The brand is certified by three independent organisations – PETA, Leaping Bunny and The Vegan Society. Maria Nila uses 100 per cent vegan and CO₂ compensated packaging for all products and is involved in a tree planting initiative in South America through Plan Vivo.
To celebrate the brand’s launch in Australia, media and guests were invited to a hair wash and style using Maria Nilla products and makeup touch-up by Susan Lilian. Photographer Rachel Yabsley then snapped a photo of each guest for a new LinkedIn headshot.
