Total Beauty Network (TBN) is celebrating a major milestone—20 years of industry leadership. In tandem with this celebration, TBN announces a significant leadership change with the appointment of Liz Webster as the new CEO, effective July 1, 2024.

Webster, a seasoned senior retail executive, brings extensive national and international experience in merchandise and category leadership, supply chain transformation, retail operations, and marketing across various sectors, including FMCG, health, beauty, fashion, footwear, and accessories.

“I am honoured and excited to be taking on the CEO role at TBN,” said Webster. “I look forward to working with Tony Rechtman and the team to build on the established foundation of success for the next phase of the business.”

Webster will work alongside founder and current CEO Tony Rechtman, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.

“Since its establishment over two decades ago, TBN has experienced exponential growth,” Rechtman noted. “Liz’s exceptional retail experience in driving revenue growth, optimising business profitability, and increasing market share across multiple channels will set us up for continued strong growth for the next 20 years and beyond.”

Founded in 2004 by Tony and Sharon Rechtman, TBN launched its first beauty brand, Designer Brands Cosmetics, which has since grown to become Australia’s number one community pharmacy makeup brand. Offering high-quality cosmetics under $25, Designer Brands Cosmetics now sells over three million products annually.

“Sharon and I created Designer Brands to challenge the misconception that affordable makeup couldn’t match the quality of high-end cosmetics,” said Rechtman. “In many instances, our products are better quality than their designer counterparts.”

TBN’s portfolio also includes INIKA Organic, RAWW Cosmetics, and Colour by TBN.

Rechtman attributes TBN’s ongoing success to continuous innovation and a community-focused approach. “Through new product development and meaningful partnerships, we remain closely connected with our customers and dedicated to fostering those relationships daily.”

To mark its 20th anniversary, TBN will unveil a new logo, rolling out company-wide from June 2024.
