Dr Josh Wall, Medical Director and Co-Founder of Contour Clinics, recently celebrated the opening of a new Bondi Junction clinic and the launch of Ilumaé, an advanced skincare range. Known for his emphasis on quality and education, Dr Wall has successfully positioned Contour Clinics as a leader in patient-centered cosmetic care.

The new Bondi Junction clinic aims to bring Contour’s multi-modal treatments to a broader audience. Patients will have access to a skilled team offering treatments designed to create long-term, natural-looking results, rather than one-time solutions. “We’re not just offering cosmetic services; we’re creating journeys for our patients,” Dr Wall said. “Our goal is to keep patients looking 5 to 10 years younger over time, using a blend of injectables, lasers, and collagen-stimulating treatments, all tailored to individual needs.”

Dr Wall’s new skincare line, Ilumaé, developed over three years and launched across Contour Clinics, showcases his commitment to science-backed, results-driven skincare with clinically-proven ingredients designed to enhance skin health.

“The skincare market is saturated with products that look good but don’t always deliver,” Dr Wall explained. “With Ilumaé, every ingredient had to prove its value. For example, we opted for retinal instead of the more common retinol. Retinal is more effective, less irritating, and yes, it’s far more expensive, but it provides superior results. It’s about using the right ingredients at the right concentrations to create a genuine impact.”

The eight-product Ilumaé range is designed to address concerns like hydration, rejuvenation, and barrier support, all while minimising irritation. “It’s skincare that genuinely supports the skin’s natural functions,” Dr Wall said. “Our philosophy at Contour is about holistic care, and Ilumaé extends that approach by giving our clients the tools they need to maintain and enhance their skin health between clinic visits.”

In addition to the science-backed formulations, Ilumaé stands out with its luxury packaging—recyclable glass bottles crafted in Italy, featuring airless technology that prevents oxidation and preserves potency. “A lot of evidence-based products out there skimp on the packaging. With Ilumaé, we wanted to match the quality of what’s inside with a look and feel that reflects its efficacy. It’s evidence-based luxury, designed for people who value both results and the experience,” Dr Wall said.

Since launching Contour Clinics in 2018, Dr. Wall has grown the brand significantly, now serving 6,000 patients monthly. His commitment to continuous professional development and hands-on training is central to the clinic’s success, with practitioners receiving over 700 hours of live training each year. “We run Contour Clinics like a teaching hospital,” he says. “The peer review and education sessions ensure every team member upholds the high standards we set.”

Dr Wall’s influence extends beyond Contour Clinics. As a regular contributor to leading publications such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and a media commentator on Channel Ten’s Studio Ten, he is a prominent voice in the cosmetic field. “Public education is crucial,” Dr Wall said. “The more people understand about skincare and cosmetic treatments, the better equipped they are to make informed choices about their care.”

The Bondi Junction clinic opening and Ilumaé launch signify the next steps in Dr. Wall’s vision for Contour Clinics: to provide a comprehensive approach to aesthetic medicine that extends beyond the clinic. “With Ilumaé, we’re giving our clients the ability to continue their skincare journey at home, with products that truly work.”

The Ilumaé range is available at all Contour Clinics locations, and online.
