Retail Beauty Editor Michelle Ruzzene recently sat down with Olympic gold medallist and Avène Brand Ambassador Cate Campbell to discuss the importance of sun safety.
After being diagnosed with a stage one melanoma in 2018, the four-time Olympic swimmer became an advocate for sun safety and skin cancer prevention, and an official ambassador for the Melanoma Institute of Australia (MIA).
The Queenslander touched down in Sydney for the official Avène Hyaluron Activ B3 launch event.
Cate was joined by Dermatologist Dr Leona Yip, and Pierre Fabre’s Scientific Communications Manager Coco Giddings, for an insightful and educational panel discussion.
The panel spoke about Eau Thermale Avène and how it was a dermatologist-recommended skincare range centred around the thermal spring water of Avène, in France.
The Avène Hydrotherapy Centre continues to operate, treating those with severely sensitive, intolerant and eczema-prone skin, treating about 2,800 patients.
Coco said the new range was enriched with “anti-ageing powerhouse ingredients” such as niacinamide, which evens out the skin’s texture and supports the skin’s natural lipid barrier and hyaluronic acid, which restores moisture in the skin.
The range includes a Concentrated Plumping Serum, a Renewal Firming Cream and a Multi-Intensive Night Cream.
