Retail Beauty recently reported on the acquisition of Nude By Nature and Makeup Cartel by Dennis Bastas, a prominent figure in the pharmaceutical industry with Arrotex Pharmaceuticals.
The $60 million acquisition is a strategic expansion into the consumer health and beauty market, integrating these brands into VidaCorp, a division of DBG Health.
Amidst these corporate changes, Mark Thompson, the Chief Executive Officer of Nude By Nature, has announced his departure from the company. Thompson, who has been at the helm for over a decade, shared in an email that the transition process is progressing exceptionally well, with a dedicated team ensuring a seamless transfer.
Thompson’s departure marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in the history of Nude By Nature. During his tenure, he led the brand through a period of substantial growth and innovation, solidifying its position as an iconic Australian brand in the beauty industry. He expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from retailers, suppliers, partners, and the Nude By Nature team, whose dedication and hard work have been pivotal in the brand’s success.
“It has been an incredible journey, and I am confident that the business is in capable hands,” he said.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the unwavering support you have provided over the years. People are the cornerstone of any successful business, and it has been a privilege to work alongside our amazing retailers, suppliers, and partners. I must also extend my gratitude to the fantastic Nude by Nature team. Their dedication and hard work have been instrumental in the brand’s success.
“As I step away, I will be watching with enthusiasm as the business continues to evolve in the coming years. Thank you once again for your support. It has truly been an honour to lead such an iconic Australian brand.”
Thompson’s departure from Nude by Nature will be effective from the end of the month.
