Skin Regimen Lx has officially launched in Australia, introducing its innovative approach to skincare and anti-ageing to local consumers.
To mark the occasion, Dr Simon Jackson, Head of Botanical Research at Davines—the parent company of Skin Regimen Lx—shared insights into the brand’s science-driven ethos over lunch at Gildas, Surry Hills. With a PhD in Pharmacy specialising in Pharmacognosy from King’s College London, Dr Jackson highlighted the importance of pharmaceutical-grade natural ingredients in the formulations. Guests had the opportunity to explore the brand’s groundbreaking products and its commitment to delivering high-quality, effective skincare solutions.
“Before I pass any of these raw materials into the supply chain, I make sure they’ve been tested at the Royal Pharmacy Trade,” said Dr Jackson. “Natural ingredients have become very popular in the last 10–20 years, but what hasn’t become popular is using proper pharmacy-grade ingredients.”
He also illustrated the power of plant-based compounds, referencing their proven efficacy in medical treatments. “If you’re fortunate to know someone who’s been through breast cancer, they might have used Paclitaxel, which comes from Taxol, derived from the yew tree. This is a natural product we’ve identified that targets breast cancer cells completely, and it’s from a plant,” he explained. “The idea that plants aren’t effective is outdated. Plants really do work powerfully.”
The Skin Regimen Lx line is designed to counteract the exposome—a combination of internal and external lifestyle factors that accelerate skin aging. Featuring its signature Longevity Complex, the range incorporates superfoods, carnitine, and myrtle from regenerative organic agriculture to improve hydration, firmness, smoothness, and luminosity while reducing wrinkles.
Dr Jackson highlighted the meticulous process behind the brand’s formulations. “My job is to make sure that the supply chain tools are right and that we get products with the right education,” he said. This dedication to quality is reflected in the line’s vegan, clean formulas, which boast up to 99.5% natural-origin ingredients and environmentally friendly packaging.
