The Estée Lauder Companies has announced that Akhil Shrivastava has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Tracey T. Travis, who will retire on June 30, 2025. Akhil will assume his new role on November 1, 2024, reporting to William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman, and Fabrizio Freda, President and CEO.

With over 25 years of financial and leadership experience, Akhil is well-prepared to lead ELC’s Global Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and New Business Development organisations. He will also continue to enhance the Finance & Strategy Team’s agility and consumer-focus to drive sustainable value creation and strategic business objectives.

“Akhil is an exceptional leader whose financial and strategic expertise will be crucial as we continue to rebuild stronger, more sustainable profitability and sales growth,” said Fabrizio Freda. “I look forward to partnering with him to drive our strategic direction and decisions.”

Since joining ELC in 2015, Akhil has held several senior finance roles, most recently as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller. His responsibilities included overseeing Corporate Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis, International and Online Finance, Pricing, and Value Chain Finance. He also played a key role in the company’s Profit Recovery and Growth Plan, focusing on inventory, cash, and cost improvements. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President, Treasurer, overseeing core Treasury functions, the Enterprise Risk Program, Real Estate, and the Company’s retirement funds.

Lauder. “He will continue to strengthen our Finance & Strategy organization, driving our strategic business objectives for the long-term.”

Akhil’s previous experience includes 18 years at Procter & Gamble in various finance and leadership roles across Asia, North America, and global businesses, including Finance Director for Gillette, North America. He holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Control from Delhi University.
