The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has announced a major restructuring across its stable of brands into two distinct portfolios.
Many people in the Australian beauty industry will remember Stephane de la Faverie, who was General Manager for Lancôme Australia from 2004 to 2006. The high-flying Frenchman, who joined Lauder in 2011, has been promoted to Executive Group President.
In addition to continuing to helm major brands such as Estée Lauder, Aerin Beauty, Jo Malone, Le Labo, Kilian Paris, Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle, Darphin, Lab Series for Men and Deciem (The Ordinary), de la Faverie will also add Too Faced, Smashbox and Glamglow to his responsibilities.
Jane Hertzmark Hudis also moves into a new role as the other major Executive Group President. She will now oversee Clinique, M.A.C and Tom Ford Beauty, as well as her existing brand cluster of La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Origins, Aveda, Bumble & bumble and Dr Jart+.
Pushing for continued growth and retaining strong leadership in the global beauty, hair and skincare categories are behind the re-shuffle.
William Lauder, ELC Executive Chairman, said that the exciting update to the organisation will further enable our brands’ industry leadership.
“Leveraging ELC’s internal talent pipeline globally underscores our commitment to create new professional development and career advancement opportunities for the next generation of leaders across our organisation.”
