The European Regulation 655/2013 regulates cosmetic marketing claims. It basically outlines what you can and can’t say about your products. On 3rd July 2017, new annexes were incorporated into the regulation, and they are now effective as of 1st July 2019.
These new additions have made “free from” claims more restrictive. It predominantly affects those who claim their products do not contain things such as dyes, parabens, silicones and all those other chemicals people are seeking to avoid.
