The market intelligence agency predicts that over the next two years, we can expect to sustainability and ethics merge.
Australian home and personal care brand Nontre.co recently unveiled its goal to contribute to the sustainability of homes and the environment through conscious, ongoing improvements in the development of its products and ingredients.
The brand was founded in 2021 with a mission to create sophisticated and sustainable products that bring luxury to every day, said Fran Benaud, General Manager of Nontre, over lunch at Luna Lu.
“As a brand, our unique selling point is that we have design-inspired products that are also kind to the environment and do what they say will do.”
Nontre develops, formulates, and designs products spanning home care and personal care categories, including household cleaning, laundry, home fragrance, body care, and pet grooming.
The bottles are 100 per cent recyclable, and refills and concentrates are available to purchase.
“We’re working with our product partners to ensure our manufacturing footprint uses best-in-practice sustainable processes,” Fran said.
“We are constantly evolving and wanting to play our part in the quest to keep our homes sustainable. We are already producing glass bottle refills and a glass branded bottle, and we hope to develop more sustainable packaging alternatives, too.”
All ingredients must meet their product ingredient policy, which includes being gentle on the environment, Australian-made, and naturally derived.
The brand also focuses on scent development.
“All of the Nontre scents are bespoke and are at the heart of our products, so it is one of the most important aspects of our product development. The selection of fragrances begins with our parfumier who, based on the product brief, begins the scent journey development,” Fran said.
In 2023, a personal care range will be launched by the brand.
