The global beauty devices market is expected to reach US$80.74 billion ($125.05 billion) in 2027 from US$29.65 billion ($45.92 billion) in 2019, with the market estimated to grow with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.7 per cent from 2020-2027, according to The Insight Partners.
In its report, ‘Beauty Devices Market to 2027 – Global Analysis and Forecasts by Device Type, Usage Area, and Distribution channel’, The Insight Partners names Nu Skin as one of the leading companies operating in the beauty devices market.
Nu Skin operates in approximately 50 markets worldwide in the Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Pacific.
John Hobby, Nu Skin Australia General Manager, spoke to media at the launch of the brand’s latest device, the ageLOC LumiSpa iO, and said “devices have really put Nu Skin on the map”.
“It was five years ago that we launched LumiSpa. In that first year of launch is when we became the world’s leading at home beauty cleansing device globally, and that’s something that was verified by Euromonitor (independent market research company).”
Hobby went on to explain the company’s focus on sustainability.
“We’re going through full brand assessment at the moment,” he said.
“We’ve already updated all of our packaging on our top 20 products with a goal by 2030 for all packaging to be recycled, recyclable, reusable, reduced or renewable.”
Talking about the ageLOC LumiSpa iO, Hobby said the “device incorporates IoT technology to provide next-level customised skin care based on greater insights into a consumer’s personal beauty and wellness journey”.
“Nu Skin has ranked number one in the world for beauty device systems for the fifth consecutive year and we take our leadership position seriously. We’re committed to leveraging scientific research and groundbreaking technology to provide our customers with amazing results that make them look and feel younger.”
When used in conjunction with the Nu Skin Vera app released earlier this year, users can create and save their own personal treatment routine targeting key areas including the face, neck and décolleté, as well as the delicate skin around the eyes with the ageLOC LumiSpa Accent attachment.
Users can also track usage, earn badges and awards through the app and receive tailored product recommendations based on skin care goals.
