Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced a significant leadership transition within its Australia and New Zealand division. Neal Reed has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President and Managing Director for P&G Australia and New Zealand, taking over from Kumar Venkatasubramanian, who is set to lead P&G’s operations in India.
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has a diverse portfolio of beauty and personal care brands, including Olay, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Gillette, Pantene and SK-II.
Under Kumar’s stewardship, P&G Australia and New Zealand saw unprecedented growth, achieving record performance metrics, fostering strong retailer partnerships, and driving category expansion. Kumar has been a strong advocate for equality and inclusion, significantly enhancing P&G ANZ’s citizenship initiatives. This includes notable efforts such as expanding employee programs and community partnerships, highlighted by the company’s collaboration with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Neal Reed brings over 28 years of experience within P&G to his new role, having begun his career as an Account Representative in the UK. With a diverse background that spans roles across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Reed has proven his leadership capabilities in various positions, most recently as Senior Vice President of Oral Care in Greater China. There, he was instrumental in driving growth and enhancing the consumer experience, earning accolades for his strategic vision and execution.
