Radek Sali, one of Australia’s most successful business figures and a driving force in the health and wellness sector, recently shared his vision for the future of wellness at the Wanderlust True North event.

Held at ICC Sydney, the event featured Hollywood star Drew Barrymore, who captivated audiences with her personal life story, and appearances by Olympic swimmer Michael Klim,  Dannii Minogue, Tones and I, G Flip and more.

Sali, the former CEO of Swisse Wellness and now Executive Chairman of Light Warrior and Wanderlust Australia, addressed media and guests at a cocktail party held at Hyatt Regency Sydney before the ICC event and spoke about his commitment to redefining the wellness industry. He spoke passionately about returning to ancient wellness practices, emphasising the importance of yoga, aromatic medicine, and plant-based nutrition, which he described as “the oldest mentality of wellness.”

“The wellness industry is filled with synthetic products, but there’s a growing demand for authenticity,” Sali said.

He highlighted the need for authenticity and innovation in a market saturated with synthetic vitamins and supplements. “Everyone’s doing vitamin C and fish oil, but they’re not always clean products. We’re bringing attention back to something old and deserving—Ayurveda, which has the most extensive scientific backing for herbal and plant-based medicine.”

He went on to explain the superiority of liquid-based herbal medicine, which offers better absorption and recognition by the body as food. “We use the whole plant or the active ingredient, ensuring a purer, faster, and more effective ingestion. It’s about taking what we need from nature in its most natural form. By focusing on liquid-based herbal medicines, we ensure better absorption and faster results, using whole plants rather than isolated ingredients.”
