I recall a time when there was only a handful of self-tan brands lining the shelves.
What!? You’re saying that I can look like I’ve returned from a week-long trip in the Bahamas and all this sorcery happens overnight? I’ll eat my hat when THAT happens*.
However, during my almost weekly trips to Priceline, I can’t help but notice the wall of fake tan growing bigger and bigger.
And now there is a new kid on the block with the Australian launch of Tanologist onto Priceline shelves.
Created by makeup artist and beauty influencer Lottie Tomlinson, Tanologist promises the future of self-tanning.
Lottie says she developed the range after struggling with breakouts, clogged pores and unpleasant scents from other brands.
“I developed this range to deliver everything I wanted in a tan – clean, clear and streak-free,” says Lottie.
Lottie and her long-time BFF Lou Teasdale travelled to Australia for the glamourous launch at The Island in Sydney.
Unlike traditional self-tanners, most Tanologist products do not contain a colour guide making for a clear and transfer-proof application.
Say goodbye to stained sheets, funky guide colours and strict overnight-only routines.
Available in three shades, the tan intensity is customisable by either washing it off after an hour or leaving it on longer for a deeper tan.
Another thing that sets Tanologist apart from the rest are its ingredients.
It’s non-comedogenic and formulated with Pink Grapefruit to tone the skin and Juniper to reduce the appearance of blemishes. Gone are the days where a different self-tanner is needed for the face and body.
Finally, as if this tan wasn’t already a match made in heaven for Australian shores, the signature Tanologist scent is Eucalyptus. Who doesn’t love a fresh scent with a hint of nostalgia?
I’ll take five bottles, please.
*They are not very tasty. Would not recommend but, hot sauce does help.
