Neutrogena’s HydroNation report has uncovered a widespread skin hydration crisis in Australia, with 70% of Australians experiencing skin dehydration—particularly women (46% vs. 28% of men weekly or more). The issue goes beyond skin health, with 4 in 5 saying it affects their confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Harsh environments such as hot, dry climates (67%) and air-conditioned or heated indoor spaces (44%) were cited as major contributors. Frequent flyers (81%) and younger generations like Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X are especially impacted, driven by lifestyle factors such as stress, long work hours, and lack of sleep.

Neutrogena Skin Expert Jayde Taylor toured the country to understand the issue firsthand, noting that many Australians are unaware of “hidden hydration killers.”
