The who’s who of music always make a grand entrance on the red carpet at the Grammys.
The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, held earlier this week, proved to be just as eclectic, with bold fashion statements aplenty.
At esprit, regardless of the questionable fashion, we couldn’t help but ogle some of the insanely OTT nails on show.
Here are three of the best, truly show-stopping nails that looked even better clutched around a gold, shiny gramophone.
- Billie Eilish – the extremely talented 18-year-old took home FIVE Grammy Awards – best new artist, record of the year, album of the year, song of the year and best pop vocal album. Equally impressive was her attention to detail when it came to her mani – bright emerald acrylics featuring Gucci‘s iconic double G print emerging from black fingerless gloves that perfectly matched her patterned suit.
- Lizzo – the most nominated artist at this year’s Grammys with a whopping eight nominations, Lizzo literally used her elegant white, embellished nails as an indicator of her huge success. In among the bling, manicurist Eri Ishizu created a phenomenal, jewelled number 8 on each nail. “I painted the number eight on each nail because she has eight nominations,” she told Allure. Makes sense. The nails also featured hanging crystals that matched the earrings she was wearing.
- Rosalia – the Spanish songstress who won best Latin rock, urban or alternative album for El Mal Querer took bedazzling to the next level. Covered in rhinestones, her bespoke manicure perfectly complemented her red-hot leather fringe dress. 10 out of 10 for this OTT bling-tastic look.
