The beauty industry is swiftly transitioning toward the use of natural cosmetics. This is largely due to consumers who are prioritising sustainability, wellbeing and environmental consciousness. This shift in consumer preference and behaviour has created the Natural and Organic Cosmetics market – a market that privileges transparency, ethical sourcing and sustainability.

Through this, it is evident that consumers are growing more conscious of the impact of their actions in the beauty industry and in general.

The International Natural and Organic Cosmetics Association, or NATRUE, was founded in 2007 with the objective of establishing strict requirements of natural and organic cosmetic products. Since expanding worldwide in 2008, NATRUE has successfully positioned itself in the natural beauty sector. Over 9,600 cosmetic products and raw materials globally, carry the NATRUE label.

To celebrate natural and sustainable beauty, NATRUE is launching its’ first Natural Cosmetics Week, from 23-29 November 2024. The aim is to raise awareness and engagement around the benefits of natural cosmetics and encourage a commitment to sustainability in the beauty industry. The week aims to target consumers alongside producers, manufacturers and distributors.

The theme of the week is – Embrace Nature, Empower Your Skin. To NATRUE, the theme reflects the significance of using natural and organic ingredients in beauty products, and the role of sustainability in the industry.
