The first face mask launch from The Ordinary skincare brand is Salicylic Acid 2% Masque. Key ingredients are vegetable charcoal, Amazonian clays and squalane used to target lackluster tone and textural irregularities, leaving skin feeling refreshed.
The structure of salicylic acid facilitates its lipophilicity and miscibility with the lipids located on the surface of the skin. It is an effective ingredient for targeting the removal of dead skin cells on the surface of oily and blemish-prone skin, to bring out more radiant skin beneath.
Charcoal and clays are ingredients well known for their deep cleansing abilities owing to their porosity and dirt-absorbing abilities.
In context of The Ordinary’s range: compared to Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, new Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is a rinse-off formula. A 10-minute application maximises the exfoliating benefits.
The Ordinary says this masque should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin.
