Gold Coast skincare brand Alpha-H is helping women re-enter the workforce with the launch of a new program.

Called The Encoreship, the program provide employment opportunities to women who are facing challenges re-entering the workforce after an extended period of time away from work.

Tina Randello, Chief Commercial Officer, said it was crucial to create a network of women who supported other women.

“With the compounding impact of COVID-19 on women, Alpha-H has recognised an urgency to respond to this ‘she-session’ with practical and immediate action,” she said.

“As a female-founded business comprised of 70 per cent of employees who identify as women, we saw an opportunity to extend ourselves into the community, offering paid work placements and creating a network of women supporting women.”

There are six Encoreship roles are available to anyone who identifies as a woman, has had an extended period (more than one year) away from the workforce and is having difficulty re-entering.

The placement opportunities include:

Alpha-H Skincare – Brand/Marketing Manager

Mamamia – Content Producer

DISSH – People & Culture Executive

NLOM – Campaign & Tracking Manager

Adore Beauty – Customer Experience Advisor

Ettitude – Sustainability & Content Manager

The successful candidates will be offered three-month paid roles in April, will start their positions in July and alongside their work will have tailored upskilling and training.

Six Degrees Executive, an Australian recruitment agency, will then provide career transition mentoring to help Encorers secure their next role.

The program is only available to applicants within Australia, however in 2022 international candidates will be able to apply.

This year Alpha H is celebrating  25 years in operation, after being founded by the late Michelle Doherty, who sadly passed away last year.

The brand is a pioneer in the use of glycolic acid and other accelerating acids, with one bottle of  Liquid Gold sold every 30 seconds around the world.

Applications are now open on the Alpha-H website. They close April 30.
