Celebrities are increasingly leveraging their fame to establish successful beauty brands, with 43 celebrity brands tracked by NIQ collectively reaching over US$1 billion in sales in 2023. These brands grew by 57.8 per cent, significantly outpacing the overall beauty category’s growth of 11.1 per cent over the same period, highlighting their strong impact in the industry.

Arka’s latest study has unveiled the top ten most successful celebrity-owned businesses. The list was arranged by determining the most popular businesses and ranking them by annual revenue. Online search popularity was also considered.

The list compiles various business types including beauty, fashion and technology, and more. Beauty brands were the most popular type of business.

Listed are some of the top beauty companies that featured in Arka’s list.

  • RihannaFenty Beauty – US$582M revenue – 4.9M search popularity
  • Jessica AlbaThe Honest Co. – US$334M revenue – 35.7K search popularity
  • Scarlett Johansson The Outset – US$153M revenue – 25.8K search popularity
  • Lady GagaHaus Labs – US$141.7M revenue – 451.6 search popularity
  • Ariana GrandeR.E.M and God is a Woman – US$84M revenue – 592.9K search popularity
  • Jennifer LopezJLo Beauty – US$75M revenue – 166.2K search popularity

Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre placed first. It earned US$1.5B in revenue and a search popularity of 3.7M. Kim Kardashian’s Skims took second place, with US$750M in revenue and 4.2M search popularity.
