The global baby products market size is expected to reach US$16.78 billion by 2025, according to a report by Grand View Research.

The market is anticipated to register a healthy CAGR of 5.5% over the forecast period,  owing to increased female working population resulting in higher demand for ready-to-use items.

It’s predicated cosmetics and toiletries will witness the fastest growth at a CAGR of 5.7% from 2018 to 2024, due to rising awareness regarding infant hygiene.

Key companies in the global market include Procter & Gamble Company, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Johnson & Johnson PLC, Unilever PLC, Nestle SA and Abbott Nutrition.

One Australian brand tapping into this growing consumer interest in baby products and self-care is Lovekins.

Founded by Amanda Essery, a sixth generation Australian Chinese,  who was born and raised in Darwin in the Northern Territory, Amanda learnt how to make her own natural skincare products after giving birth to her son Ethan in 2012.

Amanda’s second child Heidi was born with eczema, and the skin medications prescribed by doctors were unable to solve her problem. However, Amanda was able to manage her daughter’s eczema by using her own handmade skincare, based on pure, natural and indigenous ingredients, which prompted her to found Lovekins.

Lovekins has announce a new partnership with Myer, with the launch of its baby and pregnancy skincare range now available online and arriving in stores across August.

Lovekins e-commerce is seeing growth of approximately 20 per cent each quarter nationally, with Sydney its largest customer base followed closely by Melbourne.

The introduction of Lovekins baby and pregnancy skincare within the Beauty Emporium at Myer supports the demand for more natural, sustainable and local brands within this category, said Renee Stasios, Category Buyer at Myer.

“We are thrilled to be launching Lovekins at Myer in our Beauty Emporium as part of our growing mums and bubs skincare category,” she said.

“With a focus on offering high quality skincare solutions for the whole family, Lovekins is the perfect addition to our range.”

All products in the skincare ranges are Australian made using native botanical ingredients and contain no harmful chemicals or animal by-products.  The range includes a Feminine Foaming Wash, Rejuvenating Stretch Mark Cream, Restoring Stretch Mark Oil, Nurturing Nipple Balm, Baby Massage Oil, Baby Nappy Cream, Baby Hair + Body Wash and Baby Body Moisturiser.
