iKOU, founded in 2007 by Naomi and Paul Whitfeld in the Blue Mountains, is gearing up to welcome a strategic partner on board. This strategic decision aligns with iKOU’s ambitious plans to unveil 10 additional retail stores across Australia, with a particular focus on captivating regional holiday destinations.

From its humble beginnings in the Whitfelds’ kitchen, iKOU swiftly rose to become an industry leader in spa partnerships, with collaborations with 5-star luxury hotels and resorts nationwide including  Park Hyatt Sydney & NZ, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, The Langham Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, EOS Skycity, Lizard Island, and the Pullman Vie Spa group.

Currently operating three retail stores – QVB Building Sydney CBD, Leura Blue Mountains, and Byron Bay –  as well as an online store and a  wholesale division catering to diverse retail environments, iKOU specialises in organic, high-performance skincare, body care, bath, and luxury spa lifestyle products.

Co-founder Naomi, an author and recipient of accolades such as the Telstra Business Women’s Awards ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and 2022 ‘Wellness Warrior of the Year’, remains committed to steering the brand’s leadership.

In response to speculation, Naomi clarified that while no broker has been engaged, the brand is actively evaluating potential partners and welcomes interest from individuals or entities passionate about leveraging iKOU’s Australian-made brand status and ambitious retail expansion plans.

iKOU derives its name from the Japanese meaning of ‘ikou’ – inviting individuals to rest, relax, and restore, while delivering benefits for the skin, mind, and body.
