The breakthrough exfoliant treatment quickly became a major hit with beauty media worldwide. Today, Alpha-H is available in more than 30 countries through high-end retailers such as Sephora, Selfridges, Marks & Spencer and Myer.

The company’s flagship clinic and manufacturing centre is still based in Helensvale in Queensland, producing over 60 products across retail and professional skincare ranges.

A new report from DermConsult, the prestigious Harley Street dermatology centre in London, has unveiled the most searched-for skincare brands in the UK for 2020.

Alpha-H topped the list with a 5000 per cent upsurge by contrast to 2019.

The affordable US brand, The Ordinary, took out the second slot with a 390 per cent increase in searches.

First Aid Beauty, acquired by Procter & Gamble in 2018 for US$250 million and sold in Sephora in Australia, came third with a search upsurge of 230 per cent.

Other brands in the top 10 included Ole Henriksen, Glossier, Drunk Elephant and Paula’s Choice.

According to DermConsult dermatologist, Kathy Taghipour – ” People are becoming a lot more conscious of their skin and are investing in more products.

“We wanted to see exactly which brands people are most interested in in the UK, and there seems to be a variation of both high-end and affordable produts, clearly indicating that whether it’s a small or large investment, people are dedicating time and money into skincare.”
