Aveda, the plant-powered hair care brand owned by Estee Lauder Companies,  previously announced all its hair care, hair colour, body care, makeup and aroma products are now 100 per cent vegan, as reported by esprit.

To celebrate the new milestone in the brand’s sustainability journey, Aveda invited media and guests to a plant-based dinner at vegan restaurant Alibi.

Dinner was held at Alibi.

Upon arrival, Clint Piper, Aveda’s General Manager, greeted guests  with a spray of Aveda chakra as they entered.

Clint then   commenced the evening with a moment of wellness, a journey that included Aveda’s composition oils and stretches before the meal.

He said that was how staff at Aveda started every meeting, whether it was casual, formal, big or small.

The food on the menu reflected the ingredients used in the products, including the Mango Cheesecake which included mango, coconut and pomegranate to align with the ingredients used in Aveda’s Nutriplenish range and further ignite Aveda’s ethos – beauty from the inside out.

Easels featured throughout the venue showcased Aveda’s sustainability journey.

Easels featured throughout the venue showcased Aveda’s sustainability journey since its launch in 1978.

The easels included key messages such as Aveda being the first beauty company to use 100% PCR packaging and the first to manufacture with 100% wind power.

Aveda continue to embrace their mission to care for the world we live in and pioneer benchmarks of environmental responsibility not just in the world of beauty, but around the world, said Fiona Titheridge, Aveda’s Consumer Engagement Manager.
