Chemist Warehouse’s The House of Wellness has partnered with media personality Gus Worland’s foundation, Gotcha4Life, to raise awareness and funds to reverse the tide of declining mental health.
This year $615,000 was raised through in-store donations and with the support of suppliers including L’Oréal Men Expert, Lynx, Sensodyne, Biotene, AudiPlugs, Tena, Head & Shoulders, Codral, Swisse, Caruso’s, Bioglan, Blackmores, Berocca, Go Healthy, Cenovis, Healthy Care, Vicks, Colgate, Oral B and Vital Strength.
Each of the brand’s donated a percentage of sales on select products at Chemist Warehouse to the not-for-profit foundation.
The organisation is dedicated to taking action to promote suicide prevention through connection and by building mental fitness in individuals and communities throughout Australia.
Gus Worland, Gotcha4Life founder, said he was “enormously grateful” for the support of Chemist Warehouse, especially during these challenging times.
“What an incredible effort from all staff, customers and management to make this happen,” he said.
“This money means we can continue supporting program partners and provide help to improve well-being and build mental fitness across communities.”
Worland said he was hopeful for “a society in which everyone has a Gotcha4Life mate and build communities where no one has to worry alone”.
The foundation plans to broaden services in rural, regional and coastal areas, as well as expand its focus on grassroots sporting communities.
