To celebrate the latest launch from Clarins, media were invited to a firming and strengthening boxing session, followed by a light breakfast, at Shelter in Sydney’s Double Bay.
Once the guests’ bodies had been ‘firmed and strengthened’ through exercise, it was time to turn their attention to their face and neck – cue the Clarins Extra-Firming Neck & Décolleté.
Over the healthy breakfast spread, Charlotte Turner, head of training for Clarins, spoke about the brand’s research and development, and its focus on the sunflower.
“Clarins has always been inspired by nature when developing exceptional formulas combining the most powerful plant ingredients,” she said.
“This is how our researchers uncovered one of the secrets behind the continual rotation of the sunflower as it follows the sun.”
Charlotte said the researchers were “intrigued by how the stem never breaks despite the weight of the flower’s head” and they were “able to identify a special active substance which ensures their growth and flexibility – auxins.”
Clarins has used organic sunflower auxins with a blend of nine other exceptional plant extracts to create its Extra-Firming Neck & Décolleté.
Charlotte said it was important consumers were told to pay attention to the skin on the neck and décolleté which was often neglected, and was frequently exposed to external environmental aggressors.
Also in attendance at the event was general manager Helen Moreno, digital and social media manager Chelsea Cleary and digital and social media specialist Betty Wu.
Before the event, PR company MaxMediaLab arranged for Nimble workout gear to be provided for attendees to wear on the day.
