Fuelled by strong demand from the United States and Europe, French-made cosmetics experienced a remarkable surge in exports in 2022, achieving a historic growth rate of 18.8 per cent, according to Premium Beauty News.

This notable expansion marked the first time that French cosmetics exports exceeded the €19 billion ($31.7 billion) milestone. The European Union retained its position as the primary destination for French cosmetics exports, closely trailed by the United States and China.

According to the French Federation of Beauty Companies (FEBEA), the fragrance, makeup, and skincare segments emerged as the predominant drivers behind French exports, collectively contributing to over 85 per cent  of the total export revenue, which amounted to more than €16.5 billion in the year 2022. Particularly noteworthy was the perfumery category, which witnessed a remarkable growth rate of 30.2 per cent  during the same period.

This robust performance underscores the enduring allure and global appeal of French cosmetic products in the international market.

Nuxe is a French skincare and cosmetics brand known for its natural and luxurious products. The company was founded by Aliza Jabès, a Parisian entrepreneur, in 1989.

Nuxe’s history is marked by a commitment to using natural ingredients and a focus on creating products that combine effectiveness with a pleasurable sensory experience.

In 2015, Nuxe saw a change in ownership when the global cosmetics group Alès Groupe acquired a majority stake in the company.  This allowed Nuxe to further expand its international presence and invest in research and development.

Cosmax Prestige Brands, the Australian distributor of Nuxe, recently showcased the brand and of its most iconic products, Huile Prodigieuse, to media and influencers.

Huile Prodigieuse, introduced in 1991, is a multi-purpose dry oil, enriched with plant extracts, and remains a bestseller to this day. It can be used on the face, body, and hair.

Guests were treated to a presentation on Nuxe’s journey – from its inception rooted in the embrace of plant-based ingredients to its global recognition for combining nature’s bounty with scientific expertise.

Attendees also had the opportunity to experience Nuxe’s products firsthand, with expert demonstrations showcasing the transformative power of natural ingredients.

Nuxe is available exclusively at Sephora in Australia.
