Ecoya’s antipodean-influenced 2019 Christmas Collection was presented to media and influencers to experience, at a cocktail party, at Vaucluse Yacht Club overlooking Sydney Harbour.
Acknowledging the natural disasters devasting the region, Claire Barnes, General Manager at Ecoya opened her speech saying: “We have been a bit unsure as to whether to proceed with this evening, because of the awful fires burning across the state and QLD at the moment. So, it’s super important that we acknowledge that situation and the incredible work of the emergency services and as an acknowledgement of this, we have made a donation to the NSW Fire & Emergency Services, we have also got no candles burning this evening.
“We’ve had a great year with some pretty exciting launches, most recently our Car Diffuser. We’ve worked with some fantastic partners Bonnie, Erin and Lana of Three Birds Renovations, Steve Cordony, Ashley Pratt, Jono Fleming, Jodie Fairweather, Aimie Fiebig and Charlie Boyce. Next year we turn 16… and as we all know well, from 16 onwards it’s all up.”
Celebrating its roots as an Australasian Fragrance House; designed in New Zealand and handcrafted in Australia, Ecoya’s 2019 Christmas collection celebrates the antipodean Summer season. A season spent outdoors, by the beach or entertaining around the barbeque.
The new fragrances were inspired by the relaxed nature of a Christmas Down Under.
The creators visualised mornings spent with coffee and croissants, opening gifts by the tree; the long, sunny days which become warm balmy evenings, the refreshing blend of beverages, and the bright and the beautiful berries abundant at this time of year.
There are two fragrances: one new and one a sought-after favourite. Welcome, Wild Strawberry Frosé – a fruity, uplifting and playful fragrance, rich in summer berries and tropical fruits. Into its eighth season cult classic, Fresh Pine is an authentic Christmas-tree scent, loved by so many.
The collection incorporates playful de-constructed design elements which create a layered experience that is part fantasy, part eye candy and far from tradition. The new frosted vessels have white gold coated lids.
Guests were treated to bespoke festive frosé’s, Laurent-Perrier champagne, Tatachilla wines and a quintessentially Australasian fresh seafood station. Bold creative touch points included a neon lit entrance walk-way, large Ecoya branded letter and interactive photo wall.
