Mecca,  Australia’s largest prestige beauty retailer, has announced an exclusive retail partnership with the globally renowned beauty brand Glossier.

This collaboration marks Glossier’s first entry into bricks-and-mortar retail in Australia and New Zealand, offering customers the chance to experience and purchase Glossier’s products in-store.

Glossier, founded in 2014, is known for its inclusive and accessible beauty philosophy.

Its range of iconic products, including bestsellers like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Futuredew, Glossier You, and Stretch Fluid Foundation, will now be available at Mecca stores across the region.

Glossier CEO, Kyle Leahy, stated: “We have consistently heard from our community in Australia and New Zealand about their love for Glossier. We are thrilled to partner with Mecca, a company that understands the power of brick-and-mortar retail and shares our values and devotion to beauty.”

Chief Mecca-Maginations Officer, Marita Burke, added: “Our customers are the beating heart of everything we do, and Glossier was at the top of their wishlist. Bringing Glossier to Mecca is a dream come true, matching our commitment to innovative products and exceptional customer experiences.”

Glossier, founded by Emily Weiss in 2014, began as an online-only beauty brand from the blog Into the Gloss. The brand promotes a “skin first, makeup second” philosophy.

Initially offering four products, Glossier has since expanded to include serums, masks, body care, and more.

In 2018, Glossier doubled its revenue and gained over one million new customers. By 2019, it was valued at US$1.2 billion and launched a clothing line and its first physical store. In May 2022, Weiss stepped down as CEO, with Kyle Leahy taking over while Weiss remained as executive chairwoman.

Mecca, established by Jo Horgan more than 25 years ago, serves more than four million customers annually. With over 100 stores across Australia and New Zealand, and an online presence, Mecca offers a curated selection from more than 200 beauty brands.
