Glow Lab was established nearly five years ago by the New Zealand owned and operated Earthwise Group.
Earthwise was founded by Tom Robinson, who created his first plant-based product in his garden shed in Orini, a small town in Waikato, in 1967.
In 2011, Earthwise moved from cottage industry retail shops into mainstream grocery retailers in New Zealand with its range of plant-based laundry liquids, shortly followed by multi-surface cleaners and dishwashing liquids. Over the next 12 months, 40 cleaning and haircare products were launched to market.
Glow Lab recently launched its Pro-Collagen skincare range to Australian media over breakfast at The Boathouse, hosted by Renee Bargh.
Glow Lab Marketing Manager Kerry Tomane said the brand initially launched in Woolworths in Australia, but now Glow Lab had continued its success nationwide and was also available in Coles and Chemist Warehouse.
Dr Gillian Worth, Glow Lab’s Head Chemist, said the range was developed in Auckland leveraging the latest skincare science and was made with natural active skincare ingredients that stimulated the skin’s production of collagen.
“The formulas are boosted with scientifically effective ingredients such as Matrixyl Synthe’ 6TM, a powerful peptide that helps to stimulate the skin’s ability to produce collagen and hyaluronic acid,” she said.
“This active ingredient has been scientifically shown to increase collagens, I, III and IV in skin by at least 42 per cent after five days.”
Glow Lab New Zealand Ambassador Sophie Piearcey said she had very sensitive skin and suffered from contact dermatitis, but she was able to use the range without any issues.
Products in the range include a Pro-Collagen Plumping Facial Serum and Pro-Collagen Plumping Night Cream.
