The Innisfree Pink Truck will make appearances in Sydney and Melbourne

Innisfree has held an interactive event at The Rocks to launch its new Jeju Cherry Blossom range.

The public was able to take photos in the cherry blossom-filled Pink Truck, receive product samples from the Innisfree ATM, and speak to Beauty Advisors about the latest launch.

Nikki Novakovic, Innisfree Marketing Manager, says the activation is about celebrating the launch with their customers.

“Since we opened our 8th store in Australia, we have wanted to ensure consumers have the chance to get to know our brand so being able to ‘pop’ up around Australia and taking the brand on the road has been incredible,” says Nikki.

The press was invited for an exclusive preview before it was open to the public however, the buzz was generating from the get-go with passers-by wanting to be included in the action. The Innisfree team was prepared with plenty of freebies to give away including cherry blossom umbrellas and cake-pop baubles.

“Our first morning of the pop up has seen queues of people being able to have a sensory experience and get skincare advice from our Innisfree experts. This helps us build a community which is so important to our brand,” says Nikki.

New South Wales Government Sydney representatives showed up this morning enthusing about the activation, saying they had never seen anything like this before,” she adds.

“The public loved our ‘photo moments’ [the cherry-blossom encrusted swing] and our ATM sampler, where a surprise hand popped out to deliver the sample”.

The Jeju Cherry Blossom Truck has made pit stops in both The Rocks and Chatswood before making its way down to Federation Square in Melbourne next week. MEA provided the promotional staff.

Sophia Yoon, Assistant Store Manager at Innisfree Pitt Street, was at the activation in Sydney and trialled the products before the public launch.

“We received training through our manuals but, it was through trialling the products where I learnt the most about them,” says Sophia.

“I am studying a degree in science which means I have a personal interest in the ingredients, and I then share information I find through my personal research with my team. The staff at Innisfree call ourselves ‘Greenus’.”

The Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone-up Cream brightens and tones the skin to create an even texture. It’s the leaves of the cherry blossom flower which power the cream.

“That’s where all the nutrients is stored to help the flower grow,” says Sophia.

Innisfree products are all-natural and do not contain any harsh chemicals.

Innisfree has also partnered with TerraCycle to allow customers to recycle empty products in-store, which earns them points in its loyalty program.

“It shows that we don’t just care about skin, but the environment too,” says Sophia.
