L’Oréal Groupe and Prada SpA have jointly announced their long-term global licensing agreement for the creation, development, and distribution of luxury beauty products under the Miu Miu brand.

This collaboration signifies a notable expansion of L’Oréal’s partnership with Prada, welcoming the fashion-forward Miu Miu into the L’Oréal Luxe division.

Miu Miu was established in 1993 by Miuccia Prada and stands as a beacon of independent and avant-garde luxury fashion.

The partnership with L’Oréal is set to translate Miu Miu’s fashion ethos into a unique beauty narrative, with the first fragrance offerings from the collaboration expected to debut in 2025, pending customary regulatory clearances.

Cyril Chapuy, President of L’Oréal Luxe, expressed excitement over the inclusion of Miu Miu in their portfolio.

“Over the past years, we have successfully established a very strong partnership with Prada teams,” he said. “We are now thrilled to welcome Miu Miu and unleash together its outstanding potential in beauty. With its unique positioning, fuelled by limitless creativity and experimentation, Miu Miu will perfectly complement L’Oréal Luxe’s portfolio of iconic brands and reinforce our worldwide leadership in fragrances.”

Benedetta Petruzzo, CEO of Miu Miu, articulated her enthusiasm for the alliance with L’Oréal and said she regards this partnership as a crucial step in fostering Miu Miu’s growth.

“We are excited to announce this partnership with a distinctive and leading beauty player such as L’Oréal,” she said. “This new chapter will sustain the brand’s growth and help to further untap Miu Miu’s full potential in the category.”
