A L’Oréal model from Warsaw is lucky to be alive after her pet dog attacked her, leaving her almost blind.
Aleksandra Prykowska, who worked for the cosmetics giant as a model back in 2015, was rushed to hospital after her rescue dog, Logan, turned on her.
The Polish model and actress had reportedly adopted the dog from a shelter just months ago.
Sharing her injuries to Instagram, the model wrote:
“I had an accident and had to make the most difficult decision in my life. I do not want to write about the details now, because it is most important for me to protect what is left for me.”
It continued: “I am not writing to bother you. I am alive and looked after. I just can’t work in this current state. There are situations in life that change us forever.”
It’s believed Aleksandra has since returned the dog to the shelter.
In another social media post, the model thanked doctors Piotr Tomaszewski and Maria Gąska-Dzwonkowska “with all my heart for saving my eye”.
