BEAUTYSTREAMS will be announcing their forecast of colour trends for 2020 at MakeUp in Paris, 20-21 June at the Carrousel du Louvre.

The Color Wave project returns to the event to provide manufacturers with valuable information on future global hue trends.

These insights are gathered by a team of global colour experts who conduct in-depth analysis of beauty, fashion, art, social media, design, sociology, and consumer lifestyle movements.

Founder and CEO of BEAUTYSTREAMS Lan Vu says the turn of the decade translates to a “rich chromatic splendour of nature.

We live in an era where eco is more than a trend; it enters every part of our lives and becomes a necessity.”

Cosmetics manufacturers require this early information to develop products that match consumer needs.

MakeUp in Paris gathers worldwide suppliers of the makeup industry. This year marks the 10th edition of the conference and will feature a total of 164 exhibitors.

Co-founder and Show Manager Sandra Maguarian says the show highlights the creativity and innovation of all market players.

“MakeUp in Paris has become a reference where exhibitors present innovations, novelties and specific colour palettes. We can also observe the same phenomenon at the New York and Los Angeles editions. It must be said that the market has accelerated with an insatiable need for new products,” Maguarian said in an interview with Premium Beauty News.

The B2B event is one of the several spin-offs of the MakeUp in… conferences which have taken place in New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo and Shanghai.

Returning to the event is the Innovation Tree, which launched in 2015 as an award for innovation within the industry. More than 170 products have competed this year, and a committee of internationally recognised experts have chosen a selection to be displayed at the show.

For its tenth edition, the show is also celebrating the amalgamation of makeup and fashion with the Iconic Beauty Color: Color in all its states exhibition. MakeUp in Paris and the French Committee of Color have joined forces to highlight the “three iconic colours of makeup; black, red and pink.” The exhibition will display unique pieces of couture, collectibles, natural pigments and material.

MakeUp in Paris will be held over the 20-21 June at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
