Beauty was a standout, spurred by a spree of one-day-only offers on Easter Saturday.
Purchases soared by 7000 per cent, as consumers also took advantage of a drop in the free shipping threshold to $49.
The temporary closure of Myer’s stores saw 10,000 workers stood down without pay.
But the huge increase in online sales has allowed the retailer to re-assign more than 2000 staff to help with the e-commerce upsurge.
David Jones stores remain open, but its online sales have also risen by 100 per cent over the past month.
